Chaos before order
Well- it has been an exhausting couple of weeks, but finally things are taking shape in my life. Byron just came back from his annual leave – so the hours at the Slug aren’t as hectic. I had my first 2 days off for the month over the weekend – and spent it moving!

James and I have finally got a place of our own, and so far so good. It is a First Floor Flat above dear old Audrey (our Landlady). It has two Bedrooms a bathroom with bath and shower (high enough to fit James under), a lounge with a dinning table and a small kitchen. There is a front garden, which receives a lot of light, as well as a back – and James has been given full permission to use it whenever he pleases! SO there is a plan for vegetable Gardens and … the best part is that the property is situated on the back of a massive park that is home to many squirrels!

Things are getting good- and to top it off my last shift at the Slug is on Saturday. I start at ‘Real Properties’ on Monday… just like that. Stephan (my new boss) visited me tonight to discuss a few things and to give me a set of keys. It seems so official, though in my mind it is so far away. I am really excited! Need to buy a new wardrobe though… Hmmm – finances!

Otherwise, spring is here and our clocks got turned forward an hour last Saturday. That makes us only one hour behind SA now, which makes communication easier. There is just so much happening in and around me- and now more than ever I feel as though my self is finally taking shape. It has been hard, and sometimes I think that Durban is where I am meant to be, but with lengthening days and strengthening friendships all will be all right. Now all I need is my dad to move over and things will be in top form!

Feeling Positively uncertain.
