Whispers in the wind

April 2005,
It has been an interesting month – to say the least, and there have been so many changes in my life! James and I have our own place, and have put up Jono for a while ‘till he gets on his feet. It has been good for James because he has had that extra company; the two of them get on very well.

Sarah is back in Bournemouth – it has been great having her here. She has managed to come into excellent job opportunities, a contrast to her first visit. I have started to work for Real properties (go to real-properties.co.uk to check out the website) and am finding it rather, um, interesting. I find it difficult to adapt to the English ‘work ethic’ – and to conform to the various practises of running a business. I think that because my dad has run a business for the span of my life, that I have only his freedom and versatility to compare things to. Here on the other hand, I have a goal – and have no say whether others’ contribute efficiently to that goal or not. Make any sense?

Anyway, it is good to be out of the SLUG, and I love having a normal routine. My good friend Michelle and I have been training for a 5km run, held in June, so exercise is beginning to become a factor in my life again. I also have started to wean some of the winter flab off my ass… ho hum…

My Dad, Mom and Older brother have decided to come over and visit in October. I can’t believe it!!! I think that it will be so awesome showing everyone all the hard work and effort I have been putting into this thing called life! Oh yes, I almost forgot!!!! I have put down an offer on a flat! So on a couple of months I shall own a place of my own, fix it up, sell it and hopefully make some cash to pay back the formidable debt that has accumulated in my life!

On top of this my Dear Friend Sarah V. has recently been engaged to her BF. Gary. I have been invited to the wedding – and am seriously looking to make it! To think, that by that time, my last visit to SA was an entire year ago…EEEKKK!!! I miss it so much, but my dad says that things have become horrific on the violence side – and I must say that I have become quite laid back and complacent with self safety. None the less I hope that things go financially well and I can make it over.

Mieka my kitten in SA (well she is a cat now) got knocked by a car Yesterday. Some how she managed to drag herself up to the second floor in my dads block with a crushed pelvis! Some bastard just left her to die, and the poor thing made it back home! The good news is that the Vet thinks that she will make it, and is reconstructing her pelvis this afternoon. Just a little thought and lesson about strength and how it can help you succeed in the most painful of tasks.

It’s funny how life tries to teach you things as you go. Simple Whispers in the wind.
